The Church of Christ in Ceres serves this welcoming agricultural community in the heart of California’s Central Valley. Located in Stanislaus County, Ceres sits perfectly positioned between Modesto to the north and Turlock to the south, offering residents small-town charm with easy access to larger metropolitan amenities.
This family-oriented city of approximately 50,000 residents takes pride in its rich farming heritage and close-knit community atmosphere. Ceres maintains a distinctly neighborly feel where longtime residents and newcomers alike appreciate the area’s affordability compared to coastal California cities. The area experiences California’s classic Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild winters, making year-round activities enjoyable. Local parks, community events, and the nearby Tuolumne River provide recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
As part of California’s network of Churches of Christ, this congregation serves those seeking New Testament Christianity in the Central Valley region. The church welcomes both long-term residents and the many families who relocate to Ceres for employment opportunities in agriculture, manufacturing, and service industries.
